Hello Fellow Horse Lovers: WMMHA had a great time in 2007 and we are looking forward, God willing, to a wonderful time in 2008. We just had a club meeting on November 25, 2007 . What a great turn out. Plans are underway for the 2008 show season. In 2008 we are planning on having three open shows along with Great Lakes Country Classic. Committees have been formed and the ball has started rolling. I will keep you all updated here as events unfold.. For the current 2008 show dates check out the Calendar of Events page. Also WMMHA would like to announce we have a new Vice President, Harold McCormick. Congratulations Harold. We also have a new Secretary, Mary Jacobson. Congratulation Mary. Our two WMMHA Princess's are Jenny Powers and Adrienne Rauch. Great Job Girls.
LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT Greetings to our WMMHA friends and patrons: 1. I hope this letter finds you all in good cheers and looking forward to a great 2008 horse show season. Mentioned as follows are updates following our 25, 2007 WMMHA November meeting: A. We now have three different open horse shows at Western Michigan Fairgrounds, in Ludington, Michigan. (May 9th, & 10th), (May 31st, June 1st) and (August 16th, 17th). A committee has been formed to develop a high point system for our three open horse shows. (High points will be for members only) So you will need to get your 2008 membership forms in. You may go to the WMMHA web site to down load the membership form. www.wmmha.com. B. GLCC will now offer classes for theses different breeds and ratings. A rated Morgan, A rated Friesians, C rated Saddlebreds, and C rated Arabs & ½ Arabs. We will have the challenge of the breed classes as well as a regional qualifying Dressage show. The dressage is a separate show on July 31, 2008. We will be offering intro B, training levels 3 and 4, as well as levels 1 and 2. C. We have hired Mrs. Judith Warner of North Carolina, as our Friesian and Arab Judge. Thank you Cathy Martin for your hard work to land this international rated judge!! We also have hired Ms. Patty Kent of Chesapeake, Ohio to judge the Morgans and Saddlebreds. We are excited about getting her as she has been selected to Judge at the 2008 Morgan Nationals. D. West Michigan Friesian Horse Club along with Wolverine Morgan Horse Club will be Co-Hosting GLCC 2008 with WMMHA this year. We welcome this new 2008 host and their members and President, Mr. Jim Bomhof, as wells as welcoming back Wolverine Morgan Horse Association and their members and their 2008, New President, Ms. Rachel Brady. E. We are targeting late January 2008 as our next official, meeting. Place and time to be announced. F. Just a reminder to all those who are working on the breed class list; we need a rough listing by mid January. PS. Reminder: Some of you have not
renewed your 2008 membership. You will need to be members to be included in our
club high point system for 2008.
